Why are Tube 65, Tube 80, and Tube 90 required for outdoor blinds in Bali?
Standard indoor roller blinds use small 38mm or 45mm aluminum tubes. When stretched across wide villa terraces (3 meters or wider) and exposed to outdoor wind pressure, thin tubes flex in the middle, creating fabric wrinkles (known as 'fabric smile') and jamming the motor. We use heavy-duty Tube 65 (for openings up to 3.5m), Tube 80 (for 3.5m - 5m), and Tube 90 (for 5m - 6m+ spans) to keep the fabric perfectly flat and protect the internal motor mechanism.
Can motorized curtains and blinds be integrated with our villa's smart home system?
Yes. We configure Somfy motors with either dry-contact relay connections, RS485 protocol, or wireless RTS through the Somfy TaHoma bridge. This allows seamless two-way control through systems like Control4, KNX, Lutron, Savant, or mobile phone apps like Apple Home and Google Assistant.
What happens if there is a power outage in Bali?
For motorized drapery, our Somfy Glydea tracks include an intuitive manual override clutch: you can gently slide the curtains by hand without damaging the motor. For outdoor roller blinds and skylight systems, we also provide optional battery-backed Somfy RTS tubular motors or manual crank overrides for essential emergency operation.
Do you supply both manual and motorized window coverings?
Yes. While motorized systems are preferred for tall ceilings, oversized glass facades, and outdoor blinds, we fabricate matching manual chain-operated blinds and hand-drawn drapery tracks for guest bedrooms, powder rooms, or secondary villa spaces.
Do you handle on-site survey and installation across Bali?
Yes. Our technical installation team handles site measuring, electrical coordination with your MEP contractor, pelmet box sizing, and final motor limit programming across Badung, Seminyak, Canggu, Uluwatu, Sanur, Ubud, and Tabanan.
